Evolution and Characteristics of Vocational Education in Singapore

新加坡职业教育经历近50年发展,逐步形成了一套颇具特色的职业教育体系.通过对新加坡职业教育的分析与解读,将其发展演变划分为匹配低成本、低技术出口阶段、满足资本密集型、高科技发展阶段和吻合创新性与创业经济发展等阶段.新加坡职业教育发展呈现出的梯度式职业教育上升路径、创新教育策略以满足经济发展需求、校企强强联合的职业教育发展举措和技术教育学院明确的阶段性发展目标特色,对我国职业教育健全发展有一定的启示与借鉴意义.

Vocational education in Singapore has gradually formed a distinctive vocational education system since 1960s.Through analysis and interpretation of vocational education in Singapore, its evolution can be divided into three stages, namely, the low cost andlow skill stage; the capital intensive and high-tech economic development stage; the innovative and entrepreneurial economy stage. There are several characteristics during the development stages of Singapore＇s vocational education, such as innovating education strategies to meet the economic development demand, the close cooperation of schools and enterprises and the clear phased development goals of institute for technical education. A study of vocational education in Singapore will offer some inspiration and reference for the healthy development of vocational education in China.
