论屈万里先生《周易》研究的价值

On the Value of Mr.Qu Wanli's Research on the Book of Changes

屈万里先生为"当代中国经学第一人"。屈先生的经学研究以《诗经》《尚书》《周易》研究闻名。尤以《周易》研究创获最大。屈先生的《周易》研究的主要贡献是:(1)它是传统旧学与当代新学兼融的典范;(2)他的研究反映出近代学术由疑古到释古的努力。所以,他是当代学风的吸收者、创始者;(3)他开启了新的治易方法与园地,但它只是起步,而不是结束,正待后学继续完善。

Mr. Qu Wanli （1907-1979） was venerated as ＂the greatest scholar of the Confucian Classics studies in modern Chi- na.＂ He was famous for his research on the Book of Poetry, the Book of History, and the Book of Changes. And particu larly, he achieved more in the study of the Yi jing, and the main contributions of his study of the Yi jing were manifest in the following aspects： 1） It was a model of synthesis of traditional old learning and modern new learning; 2） His study re- flected the efforts in modern Chinese academia from doubting about the authenticity of ancient Chinese history to rebuilding a believable ancient Chinese history, and thus he was one who assimilated, transformed, and initiated the style of study from pre modern to modern China; 3） He opened up new approaches and fields to the study of the Book of Changes, which was just a beginning rather than an end, and need later scholars＇ perfection.
