虞和钦是清末和民国时期脱胎于中国传统士人、致力于科学中国化实践的新型知识分子。介绍了虞和钦编译化学教材的背景，分析了由他编译的、现留存于世的几种化学教材的特点，指出其化学教材促进了近代化学的本土化。

Yu He-Qin, born out of traditional scholar at the End of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, was a new-typed scholar committed to the practice of sinification of science, This paper discussed the background of Yu He-Qin＇s compiling chemistry textbooks, analyzed the characteristics of his compiling chemistry textbooks now kept in the world, and pointed out that his chemistry textbooks promoted the localization of modern chemistry.
