Study on Practical Rational Spirit and Value of Pre-Qin Confucianism

先秦儒家思想的基本精神是实践理性,它是儒家道德学说的活的灵魂,具有不因时代和地域变化的永恒价值。实践理性的本质在于主体自觉,即思想和行为自觉,思想自觉以"立德维善"为经纬,德为经,智为纬;行为以"自觉适度"为度量,中庸为度,狂狷为量,躬行君子是根本。

Practical rational spirit is the basic energy of Confucian morals theory and the eternal value that won＇t be d Pre-Qin Confucianism; it＇s also the living soul of ~hanged by time and region. In essence, it focuses on subjective conscious, which is the conscious on thoughts and behaviors. Conscious on thoughts is just like the longitude and latitude, morality is the longitude while wisdom is the latitude. On the other hand, conscious of behaviors is mea- sured by properness which refers to Middle Mean and the spirit of pride and uprightness. Conducting oneself to be a gentleman will be the foundation of it.
