Bao Jinshan Gold Mine is a low-medium hydrothermal filling-metasomatic deposit. The hydrothermal deposit is always associated with the alteration of country rocks, so that the researching on the alteration of host rocks is crucial to the exploration of local gold deposits. This dissertation has summarized country rock alteration complexes and bands division during the early, medium and late period of local hydrothermal activities, as well as the relationship between such these complexes and gold mineralization. It has concluded that the medium-early altered complexes of silicon, sericite, carbonate and pyrite is highly associated with gold mineralization; if these complexes are strongly superimposed, concentrated gold deposits would always be produced.
