Commodity Fetishism and Economic Corruption

经济腐败的原因是马克思所揭示的商品拜物教。在商品世界里,物与物的关系掩盖、支配了人与人的关系,最终使人们拜倒在商品脚下,这就是马克思揭示的商品拜物教的本质含义。中国社会主义市场经济不同于市场经济一般,它是一种不发达的市场经济,是处于体制转轨时期的市场经济,是社会主义市场经济。前两个特点是商品拜物教影响蔓延、腐败现象丛生的重要原因。因此,强化市场经济中的社会主义特点,坚持标本兼治的方针,就一定能大大制约商品拜物教的影响,减少腐败的孳生。

Economic corruption is rooted in commodity fetishism revealed in Marx ' s theories. The essence ofMarx ' s commodity fetishism implied that in the world of commodities the relations among goods dominates that among human beings and that people consequently give in to commodity. Socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics is different from general market economy owing to the fact that the former is still underdeveloped socialist market economy in a transitional period. Underdevelopment and transition are crucial factors for the sprawl of commodity fetishism and burgeoning corruption. Hence, stressing the socialist nature of market economy and upholding the policy of treating both symptoms and root causes could necessarily contain the malice of commodity fetishism and wind down the spread of corruption.
