The filtered method and process of automatic transmission layouts will be introduced in this paper. And this papedemonstrates how a most suitable automatic transmission layout is selected by analyzing5 layouts in turn against 8 selectioncriteria,including cost,length,performance,efficiency,serviceability,technical risk,ease of control and NVH.
