Value-neutralism in Social Work and Its Practices

通过对西方社会学史的部分梳理,得出社会工作价值中立的本质是实证主义价值中立观。社会工作是专业的助人活动,价值中立作为基本的社会工作价值观,在推进本土化的过程中,价值的多元性使得社会工作者不得不面临着价值选择的困境。价值观层面的困境已成为社会工作者道德压力的关键来源,影响着社会工作的专业性与职业性的发展。社会工作者必须要在实务中寻求价值困境的突破,"价值中立与价值介入保持必要的张力"成为突破价值困境的理论指导,而"社会工作者与案主间的双向互动"已成为本土化过程中重要的现实选择。

A review of the western history of sociology enables us to find that the essence of value - neutralism is positivistic value - neutralism. In the course of localization, the plural values make the practitioners of social work confronted with the predicament of too many value choices, which have become a major source of the moral pressure practitioners of social work feel, hindering the professional and vocational development of social work. Practitioners of social work must therefore in the practices find a breakthrough in the predicament of values, “maintaining the tension between value - neutralism and value involvement” being a theoretical guideline,while “ the interaction between social workers and recipients” becoming a realistic choice.
