As a special kind of literary text the text of drama is characterized by the colloquial and formal linguistic features. By comparing the translation strategies adopted by Lin Yutang and Yang Xianyi in their respective translation of passive voice in George Bernard Shaw' s Pygmalion, it can be found that the translation strategies which translators choose to translate passive voice are related to the syntactic and semantic differences in passive voice between Chinese and English, and the types of texts. The translation strategies used in translating passive voice in drama will influence the readability and fluency of the drama, and will have effect on the stage performance of the drama.
