When a Bai family suffers from a sudden funeral, Bai peopel in the same village will try to gather labor, materials, and money as 'gift' to offer help. The 'gift' includes the records on the gift list in cash and in substance; also includes the unrecorded ones on the gift list. What behind the 'gift' is the essence of friendship and the kindness from the neighborhood. Neighborhood assistance in Bai People's funeral is a kind of risk resisting mechanism.
