中国是景观多样性极为丰富的国家,然而这种特质正在发生剧烈的变化。景观多样性与独特性对于一个国家来说,具有重要的意义,我们需要在自然与文化的视野下,对国土景观有整体和深入的研究,认识国土景观的产生、演变、现状和发展趋势,认识景观的自然与文化价值,在景观的保护、修复和转换中采取相应的对策,以保证在社会和经济快速变革的过程中,经由漫长历史岁月沉积下来的国土景观仍然受到珍视,每一片土地的景观独特性都能够持续,国土景观的多样性得到维护。

China is a country with rich landscape diversity, however, this quality has undergone dramatic changes. Landscape diversityand uniqueness is of great significance for a country. We need to conduct an overall and in-depth research on landscape in the view ofnature and culture, including： study its formation, evolution, current conditions and development trend; study its natural and culturalvalues; take appropriate measures to preserve, restore and transform these landscapes. In the background of rapid social and economicchange, we need to ensure that our landscape is still cherished through the long history, the uniqueness of each piece of land can besustained, and landscape diversity can be maintained.
