弗兰斯·德莱特(Frans De Laet)教授是国际翻译学界的资深学者,在翻译人才的培养与翻译事业的发展规划方面具有丰富的经验与独到的见解。2016年5月,在笔者与他进行的学术访谈中,德莱特教授中肯地评价了中国当前口笔译教学与培训现状,分享了欧洲口笔译课程设置与改革的经验,并对中国MTI项目的发展提出了建设性意见。他认为,中国翻译事业的发展面临着各种机遇与挑战,翻译职业化任重而道远,需要因地制宜地提供多样化、多层次的翻译培训,以满足社会全方位的需求。在谈及中国翻译学术期刊的国际化发展愿景时,他对本刊提出了多条实用建议,并对中国文化走出去充满信心。德莱特教授思想敏锐,谈话中多有深中肯綮之语。

Professor Frans De Laet,a renowned scholar in the field of translation studies,has rich experience and unique insights in cultivating translation talents and planning for future development of translation. During the academic interview with him in May 2016,Professor De Laet shared not only his impartial assessment of the current status of the T&I training in China,but also his experience of curriculum design. He put forward a considerable number of constructive suggestions for the development of MTI Projects in China,and pointed out that the professionalization of translation and interpreting in China still had a long way to go,and that in order to better address the all-around needs as expected from today's society,the reforms of T&I training should be geared to the local needs and conditions. Moreover,Professor De Laet also held an optimistic view on the future performance and influence of Chinese academic journals.
