The Relationship between Tai Yang Disease and the Heart and Lung

太阳经为六经藩篱,其病除了与太阳经有关,还与心肺相关,缘于心肺皆能主表,又主营卫运行,与太阳同有藩篱之功。且心为阳中之太阳,为十二官之主,其病多伴其他脏腑之变,与太阳坏病多见心疾相符,太阳病的治方75首,48首与心肺相关,治疗取穴与肺相关,可见太阳病与心肺相关。

Its disease not only involves Tai yang channel,also involves heart and lung,for heart and lung both govern the surface and the circulation and movement of nutritive Qi and defensive Qi,and heart and lung could prevent the invasion. The heart is the Tai yang of the yang,and also is the leader of the 12 organs,and it＇s disease usually involves other organs. The malicious Tai yang disease usually manifests as heart disease. There are 75 formulas for treating Tai yang disease,in which 48 formulas involves the heart and lung,indicating Tai yang disease is related with heart and lung.
