教师作为高校最重要的战略资源,有效的吸引、培养和稳定师资队伍,自然就成为新建高专院校的首要任务。马斯洛需要层次理论把人类的需要划分成不同的五个层次,深刻剖析了人的多层次需要,这对研究教师这一群体的专业发展需要提供了理论支撑,也揭示了教师发展的实质,对高校师资队伍的培养具有良好的借鉴作用。从马斯洛需要层次理论的角度,提出了在新建高专院校师资培养的措施。
