The Cultural Origin and Historical Evolution of Socialist Deliberative Democracy

中华文化具有兼容并蓄、博采众长的优良品格,这为协商民主在中国的生长和繁茂提供了深厚的文化渊源。社会主义协商民主的文化渊源至少包括两个方面,一是中国文化"尚和"的传统,二是中国传统文化所高扬的"中庸之道"。协商的传统在中国这一国度里可谓源远流长,但其"雏形"乃自新民主主义革命时期开始。从产生到发展,协商民主在中国经历了一个较长的历史演进过程。

Chinese culture is inclusive and eclectic. The good character provides deep culture origin for deliberative democracy in China. The culture origin of socialist deliberative democracy includes two aspects： one is the tradition of peace-loving, another is the eclecticism. The tradition of deliberation has a long history in China, but its “prototype”formed in the new democratic revolution period. From its origin to development, the deliberative democracy has a long historical evolution process.
