摘要
《柏油娃娃》主要讲述了森和雅丹这一对黑人青年的爱情故事。莫里森借助爱情故事认真思索了小说中男性的文化身份。借助圣经原型角度解读,笔者认为瓦莱里安是"上帝"的身份、森是"撒旦"的代言、悉尼是"上帝"的追随者而吉迪恩是"撒旦"的后援。
＂Tar Baby＂ mainly states the love story between Sen and Jadine, who are both African Americans. From the perspec- tive of the love story, Morrison ponders over the male cultural identity seriously. Based on the prototype of the Bible, the author considers Valerian as the God, Son as Satan, Sydney as the followers of the God and Gideon as the reinforcement of the Satan.
