榆林市城乡居民恩格尔系数失效成因及对策分析

The Analysis of the Ineffective Causes and Countermeasures of the Engel Coefficient of Urban and Rural Residents in Yulin City

恩格尔系数的高低作为评价国家贫富或地区生活水平高低的重要标准之一,在世界广泛应用。本文利用2013年榆林市统计年鉴数据分析该地区城乡居民恩格尔系数,比较发现恩格尔定律不能有效解释在该地区的部分现象。深究其因,是恩格尔系数的计算结果受到如社会保障体系、居民消费观念、食品价格、非食品支出价格等多种影响因素的制约,在此基础上针对性地提出提高榆林市城乡居民生活质量的对策。

The Engel coefficient level, as one of the important standard level of life evaluation of rich and poor, are widely used around the world. This paper study the statistical yearbook data of the Engel coefficient of urban and rural residents in Yulin city at 2013, and noticed that the Engel＇s law can not effectively explain some phenomena in the region. The paper researched that Engel＇s coefficient was twisted by the calculation results of social security system, the consumer habits, food prices, the effect of various factors on the government control, and so on.
