摘要
使用外语课堂焦虑量表(FLCAS)对理工科大学新生进行抽样调查。统计结果显示被调查的理工科大学新生报告为中度英语焦虑水平,英语焦虑在性别和民族上没有发现存在显著差异,而在学生来源上存在显著差异,同时统计结果显示英语焦虑与新生的高考英语成绩存在显著负相关。大学英语教学有必要了解学生的英语焦虑状况,采取措施帮助学生消除其英语焦虑。
A sampling survey was conducted on the freshmen of an engineering university with Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS). The result shows that the English learning anxiety of the freshmen in the survey is at a moderate level; there is no significant difference in gender and nationality concerning English learning anxiety, but there is a significant difference in student source; there is a significant negative correlation between English learning anxiety and college entrance examination performance. It is necessary to learn about the status of students' English learning anxiety in college English teaching, so as to take measures to eliminate their English learning anxiety.
