摘要
认识到牛津大学导师制教学与中国古代书院的教育理念有许多共同之处,坚定不移地继承和发扬书院教育文化传统,这是新时期岳麓书院本科生导师制实施中达成的思想共识。岳麓书院在千年教育中总结的历史经验确立了文化自信,相信立志圣贤的教育仍能为当今大学培养具有一流品性、见识、学问和思考能力的人提供借鉴。新时期岳麓书院践行的导师制,着力于传统的现代性转化,主要表现在:理解并遵循导师之道,致力于师生的共同成长和师生学术共同体的形成;重视导师教学中价值、意义和方法的传递,尊重导师教学中的个性;创新导师之道,将导师制视为师生双方的有效增长智慧的方式。
We have reached an agreement that there are several similarities on educational ideas between Oxford University' s tutorial system and ancient Chinese Academy ,and that the educational and cultural tradition of Chinese Academy should be firmly inherited and carried forward when the tutorial system for the undergraduates is implemented in YueLu Academy in the new era. Historical experience drawn from over a thousand years' education contribute to establish YueLu Academy' s cultural confidence, believing education aimed to bring up sages could still provide reference for today' s universities on cultivating people with excellent character, extensive experience and knowledge, and outstanding elaborative faculty. At present, YueLu Academy' s tutorial system concentrates on the modem transformation of tradition, which mainly extends as following, understanding and following tutors' principle applying to common growth and the formation of academic community for both teachers and students; emphasizing tutors' delivery of teaching value, meaning and method as well as respecting tutors' individuality while teaching; innovating tutors' principle and regarding tutorial system as a way of increasing wisdom for teachers and students mutually.
