The Descriptive Catalog of Notes on Chinese Classical Poetry in Japanese Block-printed Editions Collected in Harvard Yen Ching Library

美国哈佛大学哈佛燕京图书馆是北美著名的汉学图书馆,收藏有大量的日本珍稀汉籍。本文对哈佛燕京图书馆所藏日本汉籍中的和刻本中国诗话进行了详细研究,除了揭示其版本特色,与中国刻本之间的关系外,更注意考证这些中国诗话在日本江户时代被刊刻的背景,特别是这些诗话与日本江户思想史及汉诗学之间的关系。

Harvard-Yenching Library is famous for its collections about Chinese and Japanese rare books,including many Sino-graphic books printed in pre-modern Japan. This essay focuses on the Chinese Poetry-talks（ shihua）printed in Japan. I try to not only explore the textual characteristics of these Poetry-talks,but also uncover why these Chinese books were printed and published in Edo Japan,and the relation between these Poetry-talks and Japanese intellectual history and Japanese Sino-graphic poetics in middle period.
