吞音错误对朗读测试表现的影响——基于广东省高考英语听说考试语料的研究

The Impact of Sounds' Swallowing on Examinees' Reading Aloud Performance: A Corpus-Based Study of Computer-Based English Listening and Speaking Test(CELST) of National Matriculation English Test(Guangdong Version)

本研究通过构建一小型语料库探索吞音错误对朗读测试表现的影响。对广东省高考英语听说考试考生录音进行吞音错误编码的分析结果发现,该错误是广东省考生常见的发音错误,具有普遍性。吞音大多出现在词尾辅音。不同水平考生的吞音错误特征之间存在显著差异。吞音错误同考生分数之间存在显著相关关系,多元线性回归分析发现吞音错误能有效预测考生分数。

This paper reports a corpus-based investigation into the impact of sounds' swallowing on examinees' Reading Aloud performance in Computer-based English Listening and Speaking Test( CELST) of National Matriculation English Test( Guangdong Version). The sampled students' voice records were coded within a framework of sounds' swallowing. It was found that sounds' swallowing is a common phenomenon for Guangdong students. The swallowed sounds are most commonly found in the word ending consonants. Significant differences exist between different proficiency groups. The percentage of this error is significantly correlated with examinees' scores, and is able to predict their scores effectively.
