摘要
文章比较了原型范畴理论法和传统教学法对英语专业学生识记单词各释义的影响。选取了天津外国语大学滨海外事学院相同英语专业同年级的两组学生,通过实验来验证原型范畴理论对于词汇教学效果的显著性。实验结果表明:利用原型范畴理论教学效果明显,各单词释义短时记忆和长久记忆效果显著提高。
This paper compares the impact of Prototype Category Theory and traditional teaching the- ories on the memorization of word meaning for English majors. Two groups of English majors in the same Grade from Binhai School of Foreign Affairs of Tianjin Foreign Studies University are selected as samples to prove the significance of impact of the Prototype Category Theory on English vocabulary teaching. The result shows that the effect of the Prototype Category Theory on English vocabulary teaching is significant, and the students' shortterm and long -term memorization has been improved a lot.
