摘要
词汇知识包括两个维度:广度和深度。本文通过实验考查了接受性词汇的广度、深度两个维度之间的关系。研究结果显示词汇广度与深度高度相关。总的来说,词汇量的扩大会促进词汇深度知识的增长,但是情况会随学习者词汇量大小的变化而变化。
It is generally agreed that there are two dimensions of vocabulary knowledge: breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge. This study sets out to investigate the relationship between receptive vocabulary breadth and depth knowledge. It is revealed that vocabulary breadth and depth were highly correlated. In general, the development of vocabulary breadth would promote the improvement of vocabulary depth knowledge, but the situation varies according to learners' different vocabulary levels.
