摘要 从美国文化价值观念的视角,对美国远程教育的发展现状进行全面分析。研究认为:美国远程教育之所以取得世界领先地位,与其文化价值观的特质有必然的内在联系,突出个人主义、追求个人利益以及强调个人的民主自由,是美国远程教育拥有庞大受众群体的重要原因;推行文化霸权、主导世界发展,是其远程教育得以迅猛发展的重要诱因;政府的高度重视与大力扶持,是其远程教育体系得以建立与完善的重要保障。而对于我国远程教育的发展而言,打破传统教育模式的束缚,注重对我国文化的推介,实现与他国文化的对接交流,是推动我国远程教育实现可持发展目标的必要条件。 This paper takes the values of American culture as perspective, conducts a comprehensive analysis on the current de- veloping situation of the American distance education. The Study suggests that: as the world leader in the distance learning, the Ameri- can distance learning has an internal relation with its cultural value. The American cultural value emphasizes on the individualism, the pursuit of personal interests and the individual freedom and democracy, that's why the United States has a huge audience of distance ed- ucation. The implementation of cultural hegemony, and leading the world's development, that's why American distance education devel- ops rapidly; the great importance to and vigorously support attached by government is an important guarantee of its distance education system. As far as the development of distance education in China concerned, breaking the shackles of the traditional mode, focusing on promotion of Chinese culture, communicating and sharing the culture with other countries, are the necessary conditions of promoting distance education and achieving the sustainable development goals in China.
