Comparison of the Factors Affect Sculpting Development between Ancient Greek and Ancient Rome

从区位因素、地域经济因素、政治历史因素以及文化因素等方面对古希腊与古罗马的雕刻艺术进行了比较分析。认为从总体上看,古罗马的雕刻艺术成就主要来源于对古希腊雕刻艺术的继承,但二者之间也存在较大的差异,其中较为突出的是古希腊雕刻体现出浓厚的人本主义思想和浪漫主义情调;古罗马雕刻主要突出统治者的精神意志和写实主义色彩。

This paper discusses about the differences between the sculpting style from the following aspects geographical location;politics;historical factor;cultural difference and so on.General speaking,sculpture from ancient Rome is inherited and developed from ancient Greek but there is still a huge difference if compare with the sculpture art in ancient Greek.One of the very distinctive differences is sculptures in ancient Greek have a strong reflection of individualism and romanticism.Whereas for the sculptures in ancient Rome,their works usually highlights the spirits will of the governor and more and more of realism.
