According to the data statistics of restaurant complaints in Kunming city from 2010 to 2013, the main causes included incomplete pollution control equipment, unsuitable sites, and illegal construction. The complaints about oil and noise pollution were the most. In order to reduce the number of complaints about catering industry in Kunming City, the paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the restaurants and the related governmental departments to provide environmental management basis.
