中美高校图书馆残疾人读者服务研究

Study on University Library Service for Disabled Readers in China and USA

[目的/意义]研究中美高校图书馆残疾人读者服务现状,促进我国高校图书馆残疾人服务水平提升。[方法/过程]通过中美高校图书馆在残疾人政策、物理环境无障碍建设、服务提供等方面的比较,提出改进我国高校图书馆残疾人读者服务的措施。[结果/结论]我国高校图书馆残疾人服务起步晚,在残疾人政策、无障碍环境建设、服务措施方面与美国还存在很大差距;应从建设残疾人高校图书馆、细化无障碍建设标准等方面借鉴美国高校经验。

[Purpose/significance]The paper is to study status quo of university library service for the disabled reader in China and USA, so as to promote university library service for the disabled in China. [Method/process]The paper compares university li- braries in China and USA from policy, physical environment of barrier-free construction and service provision for the disabled, puts forward some measures to improve university library service for the disabled reader in China. [Result/conclusion ] University library service for the disabled reader in China started late and has gap from USA in aspects of policy, barrier-free construction and service measures. University library in China should take experience of USA for reference in aspects of constructing university library for the dis- abled and refining standards of barrier-free construction.
