现行的竞技体育后备人才培养过程暴露出很多的不适应的地方,阻碍了中国竞技体育后备人才的可持续发展。因此,如何根据新时期、新要求、新情况的出现,对整个竞技体育后备人才培养模式进行及时的调整和变革就显得尤为重要。在这种历史背景下提出四川省体育后备人才走向的命题,其目的就是从建设体育强国与整个体育事业发展的全局出发,就是为了更全面、准确地把握四川省体育后备人才培养的发展脉胳,从而明确当前业余训练的目标定位,有针对性地提出与西部地区经济社会发展实际情况相适应的业余训练的新途径。
