摘要
科学统一问题一直是科学哲学的一个争论焦点。否定科学统一的哲学运动并没有改变生物学家追求生物学统一的努力。沙夫那的研究表明理论还原在生物学研究实践中仍然具有重要的启发作用,而达尔丹等人有关科学整合的研究也表明非还原统一策略的普遍性。各种统一策略对生物学实践的启发作用是生物学史的事实,而追求科学的非统一性并不是生物学实践的主要途径。
The problem on scientific unification has long been an issue focus in the philosophy of science. The philo- sophical movement of denying scientific unification has not changed biologists＂ effort to adhere biological unification. Schaffner＇s researches show that theoretical reduction plays an important evocative role in biological practice. Darden and others have indicated that there are some unified strategies without reduction. It is a fact in biological history that a variety of unified strategies has been promoting biological developments, but the ideal about disunity of science is not the main way of biological practice.
