Objective To explore the effect of foot care for lower limb nerve conduction velocity and symptoms in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Methods Eighty cases of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy admitted in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 40 patients in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with routine care, while patients in the observation were treated with foot care on the basis of routine care. After the treatment, the lower extremity nerve conduction velocity and the clinical condition in the two groups were analyzed. Results After treatment, the conduction velocity for peroneal nerve of lower extremity and posterior tibial nerve, and the clinical conditions of patients in observation group were significantly improved (P〈0.05). The effective rate of observation group was 92.5%, which was significantly higher than 67.5% in the control group (P〈0.05). Conclusion In clinical, foot care on the basis of routine care can effectively improve and enhance peripheral nerve conduction velocity of patients with DPN, relieve clinical symptoms, and has significant care benefits.
