摘要
作为一类以教学水平著称的高等教育组织,美国精英文理学院非常重视教师教学发展。本文选取美国排名前10的精英文理学院,从机构设置、职责范围、人员配备、活动项目等方面,对其教师教学发展机构进行组织分析。研究发现,10所精英文理学院中有8所学院专门建立了教师教学发展机构,且在学院管理体系中占据着重要地位。它们并非管理机构,而是为教师教学提供服务的支持性机构。在组织目标上,它们致力于将教师教学发展与学生学习发展相结合;在人员配备上,它们呈现以兼职为主、专职为辅的人力资源结构特征;在活动项目上,它们注重引导教师主动发展教学,积极促成教师之间的合作与互动。
As a type of higher education institution with high teaching standards, American Elite Liberal Arts College attaches great importance to the development of teaching. This paper analyses teaching development organization of the top 10 elite liberal arts colleges from the perspectives of institutional setting, scope of official duty, staffing and activities. It has found that 8 of the 10 colleges have set teaching development organizations which play important roles in the administration system of their colleges. They are supporting organization serve the teaching activities rather than administration or- ganization. It devotes to combining the development of teaching activities with the development of students. The human resource structure is mainly based on the part-time staff, with full-time staff secondary. It guides teachers to actively improve their teaching and collaborate with peer teachers.
