Objective To investigate the best time period of detaining urethral catheter for surgery patients with general anesthesia, and to reduce the preoperative pain and the recovery adverse reactions include agitation, occur- rence of urinary irritation symptoms, to ensure the safety of medical care. Method 120 adult patients with urethral catheterization, general anesthesia surgery and press numeric table method selected from June 2014 to October 2015 in our department were randomly divided into group A, group B and group C. Patients with preoperative catheteriza- tion in the ward, in group A patients in group 13 after general anesthesia intubation catheter and urinary tube; Pa- tients in group C in the anesthesia induction period with urethral catheterization and urinary tube. Vital signs, stir in the anesthesia recovery time, comfort and anesthesia recovery time for the three group was measured and compared before catheterization and urethral catheterization. Result By grouping study, the agitation for patients with indwelling catheter during induction of anesthesia in group C was the least in recovery period of general anesthesia, the urinary tract irritation was the least. The patient's comfort was increased, and the patient's satisfaction was improved. Conclusion Anesthesia induction period, detaining urethral catheter can reduce anesthesia awakening period of agitation, and increased patient comfort, improve patient satisfaction.
