在后五四时期的20世纪20年代初的中国,资产阶级改良思潮的出现和存在有其合理性和必然性。其历史贡献主要表现在继承五四启蒙传统与继续开启民智、积极介入和开展近代化的社会动员以及系统阐述了资产阶级近代化基本政治主张等方面。资产阶级改良思潮关于近代化的构想,既为民国时期中国的政治精英和有识之士探索国家出路多了一种选择,为新民主主义的近代化运动作了前期准备和铺垫,也对当今中国的现代化事业和民族复兴提供了宝贵的借鉴。

During the Post May Fourth Movement in the early 1920s, the emergence and existence of the Bourgeois Reform Ideological Trend in China has its rationality and inevitability. Its historical contribution should not be underestimated, and the manifestations are： inheriting the tradition of the New Culture Move- ment and the May Fourth Movement; continuing enlightening civilian wisdom to promote the modernization of ideas ; openly opposing the feudal warlords while actively involving and carrying out the modernization of social mobilization; systematically expounding the basic political ideas of the bourgeois modernization, and so on. The Bourgeois Reform Ideological Trend＇s conception of modernization provided an additional choice for the Republic of China＇s political elite and people of insight to explore the way out of the country, prepared and paved the way for the modernization of the new democracy movement, and provided a valuable reference and enlightenment for the modernization of China and national rejuvenation.
