In the history of Chinese ancient fable, and the contribution of Liu Zongyuan occupies an important status. He not only developed Chinese ancient fable into an independent style, but also explored various skills of expression, and broadened the function of the fable expressing. His fable was affected by his relegation experience and his thoughts of Ancient Prose Movement, which shows the double emotional appeal of individual indignation and self-identity.
