我国目前推行的新型农村合作医疗是减缓农民因病致贫、因病返贫的有效制度。新疆叶城县是边缘的少数民族聚居区,具有特殊的地理环境和人文环境。叶城县的经济很不发达,可以代表我国欠发达地区的情况,研究新疆叶城县民族地区的农村合作医疗制度对完善新疆维吾尔自治区新农合制度体系具有重要理论意义。
