黄远生是我国新闻通讯的奠基人,新闻通讯文体通过他的尝试和实践,逐渐定型为新闻报道重要体裁,奠定了他在新闻史上的地位。他任上海《时报》《申报》驻京特约记者期间采写了大量新闻通讯,内容涉及内政、外交和民生等民初重大问题,内容广泛,思想深刻,集中表现出客观真实、绘声绘形、辛辣尖刻、鞭辟入里、亦庄亦谐、涉笔成趣的文体风格。"远生通讯"具有极高的艺术成就和史料价值,对我国民初报界、报人及社会都产生了深远影响。

HUANG Yuan-sheng is the founder of China＇s newsletter.The newsletter style,just thanks to his attempts and practice,gradually became an important news report,and also established HUANG＇s position in the history of journalism.During his stay in Bejing as a stringer for Shanghai＇s Shi Bao and Shen Bao,he wrote a lot of newsletters,covering the important issues of the early period of the Republic of China,such as domestic policies,foreign affairs and people＇s livelihood.His newsletters,with extensive content and profound thinking,best expressed his stylistic characteristics of objective authenticity,vividness,biting bitterness,penetrating insight,seriocomicness,and wittiness.Thus,Yuansheng Newsletter had a high value of artistic achievement and historical document and had a profound influence on the press,newspapermen,and society of the early period of the Republic of China.
