从《有产业的人》看高尔斯华绥创作的现代性

ON THE MODERNITY OF GALSWORTHY'S CREATION FROM THE MAN OF PROPERTY

作为英国20世纪现实主义小说三杰之一——高尔斯华绥的成名作,亦是其《福尔赛世家》家世小说的开篇之作,无论从思想上还是艺术上来看,《有产业的人》无疑都堪能折射出高尔斯华绥创作的卓绝之处。基于此,本文拟以此小说为蓝本,从叙事视角、作者出面、互文、情节结构四个方面出发,纵横双向、立体多维地发掘探索诺贝尔文学奖所言的"描述的卓越艺术"之所在,并以此为依据,佐证高尔斯华绥小说创作叙事的现代性和永恒的文学价值。

The Man of Property,the first piece of the Forsyte Saga series,is written by one of greatest British realist novelists in the20 th century--John Galsworthy. It is widely agreed that this novel reflects the extraordinariness of Galsworthy＇s creativity in both ideology and literature art. As a result,this paper explores the＂excellence of description＂（ as is said when awarded the Nobel Prize）in The Man of Property from four aspects： the narrative perspective,the presence of author,intertext and the plot structure,trying to prove that the narrative description in Galsworthy＇s novels is of great modernization and of eternal literature value.
