As a classical novel of post- colonialism, ＂ The Mimic Men＂ not only demonstrates the difficulties of the economy,society and culture. In Isabella after its independence,but also the specific growth theme of the youth living in the post- colonial period in the Caribbean area. Ralph Singh,the hero of this novel,experiences a period of cofusion when cognizing the world,puzzle when knowing culture,frustration when co- growing with his nation and formation when returing his spiritual home. During this process,Singh and his nation all experienced some frestrations and difficulties. Although it is a long way to go ahead,yet,if they can break out of some colonial sequela,they can find their own places in the world.
