A Study on the Application of Lexical Chunk Approach to English Reading Teaching in Vocational College

摘要 针对高职英语阅读教学效果不理想的现状,基于词块教学理论,并结合图式理论,将词块教学法应用于高职英语阅读教学中。通过实验研究结果分析得出词块教学法可以提高学生的阅读能力,与传统教学方法相比,词块教学法效果更好,并对教师采用词块教学法进行高职英语阅读教学提出了一些建议。 In view of the current situation that the effect of English reading teaching m vocatmnal college is not ideal, the lexical chunk approach which is combined with the schema theory is adopted in vocational college English reading teaching. According to the analysis and findings, it can be concluded that the lexical chunk approach plays an effective role in promoting students' reading proficiency. Compared with the traditional ways of teaching based on the grammar-translation approach, the lexical chunk approach is better in improving students' English reading competence. Meanwhile, some useful implications for the English reading teaching in vocational college which is based on the lexical chunk approach can be obtained from the study.
