The campaign of crossing the Chishui River 4 times,which until today still wins unceasing praise and admiration,is the most splendid and breath-taking military operation during the Long March.Its triumph not only helped the Red Army get rid of the encirclement,pursuit,obstruction,and interception by the dominant Kuomintang(KMT) and capture the initiative in the strategic transfer,but also combined theory with practice to facilitate the fundamental change of CCP's guiding strategic ideology.
