论庞德传译中国的必然性

On the Necessity of Ezra Pound’s Translating Chinese Works

庞德成就了中国古典诗歌在英语世界的传播，中国古典诗歌也成就了庞德，推动了美国意象学的发展和完善。庞德与中国古典文化及诗歌之间的内在的本质联系，是促成二者相互影响的重要的根本性因素。本文从本质直观的角度，分析庞德作为诗人的典型特质与中国古典诗歌及其内在文化蕴涵的共性，揭示庞德与中国古典诗歌不解之缘的成因。

Ezra Pound （1885-1972） promoted the spread of Chinese classics and poems in the English-speaking world while Chinese Classics also helped him develop and perfect American imagism. The internal and essential links between Ezra Pound and Chinese classics served as one of the most significant factors in his translating Chinese works and the interactions between the two cultures. This paper, in the perspectives of historiography, analyzes the similarities between the typical characters of Ezra Pound as a poet and the cultural implications of ancient Chinese poetry, in order to unveil the veil over the links between Chinese poetry and his translation.
