从中日韩语言政策看汉英语言的发展

The State of English and Chinese Languages from the Perspectives of Language Policy in China, Korea and Japan

语言政策的偏颇可能导致语言状况的失衡,借鉴邻国的经验教训或有助于改善自身的语言状况。文章从中、日、韩三国的英语语言政策和汉语语言政策的对比出发分析三国对待英语和汉语的不同态度,从而探讨了英汉两种语言的发展态势,并提出汉语国际传播的根子在于中国的崛起和汉语在国内的地位。

Subjective language policies may lead to the unbalance of the language situation in a country and the practice of one country may shed light on that of the other. This article compares and contrasts the English and Chinese language policies in China, Japan and Korea, analyzes language situations in the three countries along with the execution of these language policies, and draws a tendency toward a gradual English-favorite language situation in the three countries in the context of globalization. It concludes that the key factor to play in the internationalization of the Chinese language is in the rise of China and the promotion of the Chinese language within China, especially the benefits of learning and bettering the native language.
