摘要
对8位大学英语学习者进行深度访谈,探讨促进或阻碍学习者使用大学英语自主学习中心的因素。研究发现,外在动机是学习者在自主学习中心进行英语学习的主导动机。情感因素,如懒惰、缺乏意志力等则阻滞学习者进入自主学习中心,同伴和教师对自主学习中心环境下的英语学习动机有着重要的影响,并提出一些对策和建议。
A qualitative research was conducted to investigate into students′motivation for embracing or avoiding the use of a self-access center.The research has found that extrinsic motivation is the major factor for English learners to use a self-access center while some negative affective factors such as laziness, lack of perseverance are the hindrances for learners to embracing the use of the center.Also, peers and teachers have found to be the most significant others in the process of becoming an autonomous language learner.Based on those findings, corresponding suggestions are given in the end.
