Different perspectives lead to different understanding of issues. Shifting the perspective, we can easily find the close re- lationship between Confucian education thought and the current continuous education thought and then inherit this rich education herit- age. From the perspective of continuous education, ＂comprehensively understand issues＂ and ＂listen to both sides and choose the mid- dle course＂ are the teaching methods of Confucian continuous education ; ＂self-cultivation, family regulation, state governance, bring- ing peace to all under heaven＂ and ＂drawing inferences about other cases from one instance＂ are the teaching objectives of Confucian continuous education. The consistence of Marxism overall development theory and Confucian continuous education shows that Marxism and Confucian education thoughts can absolutely serve as the theoretical foundation of the current continuous education.
