18世纪欧洲来样订制中国瓷器与中国外销瓷绘西洋画装饰的发展关系密切。中国瓷绘画家为了满足西方客商对于订烧瓷器装饰设计的各种要求,在外销瓷上仿绘西洋画,推动了中国外销瓷装饰设计风格的西化,也促进了中西美术与设计的互动和交流,对18世纪欧洲兴起的"中国热"有推波助澜的作用。中国早期的西洋画也由此发展起来。

Porcelains tailor-made for Europe contributed to the development of western style paintings on Chinese exported porcelains in the 18th century.
