Mistakes in “Annotations to The Analects of Confucius”

在现当代《论语》的注本中,杨伯峻先生的《论语译注》堪称当代最好的《论语》注本之一,对《论语》及儒家文化的传播起到重要的意义。自《论语》问世,历代的考释文献层出不穷,对于《论语》中个别词语的解释时有争鸣,文章就其中两点发疑:其一,《论语·为政》中"思无邪"之"思"的所指。经过考证和分析,认为"思"是对《诗经》文化功能的概括。其二,孔子"天命"的阐释。认真考辨后,发现孔子敬仰的"天"实则承载着兴仁复礼的原始动力,是道德价值的源泉。

Yang Bojun’s ＂Annotations to The Analects of Confucius＂is one of the best＂annotations＂,which is of great importance to the spread of Confucian philosophy. Since the very beginning,there have been annotations. Scholars have questions to each other’s annotations. In this study,the reference of ＂si＂in ＂si wu xie＂is discussed and it is argued that it is the summary of the cultural function of ＂The Book of Songs＂. Another point in this essay is the explanation of ＂tian ming＂. With careful research,it is concluded that ＂tian＂in Confucian philosophy should be the primitive drive of developing benevolence and source of moral value.
