利奇Semantics“语义类型”术语群的汉译——兼谈Leech语义分类的逻辑

Chinese Translations of “Semantic Type”Term Groups in Leech's Semantics——A Concurrent Analysis of the Logic of Leech's Semantic Classification

利奇(Geoffrey Leech)的《语义学》(Semantics)关于语义类型的术语形成一个"术语群",学界关于该术语群给出的汉语翻译分歧较大,在综合考量已有翻译和研究成果的基础上,结合Leech语义分类的逻辑,笔者倾向于译为:理性意义(Conceptual Meaning)、内涵意义(Connotative Meaning)、搭配意义(Collocative Meaning)、情感意义(Affective Meaning)、社会意义(Social Meaning)、反应意义(Reflected Meaning)、主位意义(Thematic Meaning)。"语义类型"术语群的汉译存在一定分歧有文本内外原因。

In Geoffrey Leech＇s Semantics,as regards the term group of the semantic type,there have been some disparities in the Chinese translations of those terms in academia. On the basis of some comprehensive consideration of existing translations and research results,the author of this paper tends to translate the seven terms respectively as 理性意义（ conceptual meaning）,内涵意义（ connotative meaning）,搭配意义（ collocative meaning）,情感意义（ affective meaning）,社会意义（ social meaning）,反应意义（ reflected meaning）,and 主位意义（ thematic meaning） by combining the logic of Leech＇s semantic classifications. Moreover,as analyzed,the causes for divergences in the Chinese translation of the semantic type term group involve textual and extra-textual factors.
