Objective To investigate the effect of cluster nursing on prevention of hemodialysis catheter related bloodstream infection. Methods 95 cases of patients with hemodialysis catheter from January 2015 to June 2016 in our hospital were taken as the research group, and they were given cluster nursing, while 87 cases of patients from July 2013 to December 2014 were taken as the control group, and they were given routine nursing. The incidence of catheter related bloodstream infection was compared between the two groups.ResultsThe incidence of CRBSI in the study group was 2.11% (2/95), the control group was 10.34% (9/87) (P〈0.05), while the catheter indwelling time was longer than that in the control group, the difference was statistically signiifcant (P〈0.05). The incidence of CRBSI in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the catheter indwelling time was longer than that in the control group, the difference was statistically signiifcant (P〈0.05).Conclusion The incidence of CRBSI can be effectively reduced by cluster nursing in hemodialysis patients, which can ensure the safety of the catheter and improve the prognosis of patients.
