从天津《益世报》看民国时期直南地区的灾荒与匪患

On Famine and Banditry in Southern Region of Hebei in the Republic of China from Yishi Daily

由于自然与社会因素的双重作用,民国时期直南地区自然灾害频发。天津《益世报》作为民国四大报刊之一,对此做了较为详实的调查与报道:直南地区的灾害主要包括水灾、旱灾、煌灾等,并呈现多灾并发且以水灾为主的特点。灾荒的发生致使农村经济破产,大量流民形成,从而引发社会动荡,为直南地区严重的匪患与会匪的猖獗埋下了隐患。

Under the natural and social factors, there was more famine in southern region of Hebei in the Republic of China. Yishi Daily as one of the four major newspapers, made a detailed investigation and reported on famine, including floods, droughts and locusts, which had a variety of disasters with flood as the main one. The famine had a significant impact on agricultural production and human life, and it caused the hidden dangers for rampant banditry.
