It is proved in global markets that credit derivatives can help manage credit risk, improve the management efficiency of banks＂ balance sheets and enhance operation capabilities of banks. Further study and development of the credit derivatives market is meaningful in reinforcing and enhancing the ability of financial system to serve the real economy. Given that commercial banks are the most important composition of China＇s financial market and the main participants in CDS market, this article is to present preliminary research of the demand for CDS and its application in China＇s market from the perspective of banking supervising and management.
